Born and raised in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, a suburb of St. Paul, Sherry started her Real Estate career in 1982 in Minnesota. Sherry began with Realty World, before going to C-21 and Re/Max through 1997. Within 2 years of joining each respective franchise, Sherry would become the top listing and selling agent, a position she would hold through the trying economic times of the 1980s with 19% interest rates and the collapse of the Savings & Loan Banking industry.
1997 saw a change on the horizon as Sherry came to Colorado with her children, Brian and Heather, to assist with her sister's year-long recovery after a bone marrow transplant due to breast cancer. The scenic views and fresh mountain air of Fort Collins beckoned, and Sherry, Brian, and Heather decided to make Colorado their new home.
With a new start, Sherry began New Choice Realty Llc in 1998, serving the Fort Collins, Loveland areas. New Choice operated for 18 years serving the real estate needs of the Colorado front range until Sherry decided that retirement was on the horizon.
Retirement proved to be a larger challenge than Sherry expected, and in mid-2016, joined Keller Williams Realty Northern Colorado - a team with culture and values closely associated with her own. By operating within the Keller Williams family, instead of operating her own agency, it allowed Sherry the opportunity to provide exemplary personalized service that exceeds client expectations at every turn.
Sherry strives to ensure that the client is her first priority, and to that end, has obtained the MCNE (Master Certified Negotiating Expert) designation - a designation held by less than 2,500 of the over 86,000 Realtors within the United States. Also, as a Graduate of the REALTOR Institute (GRI), Sherry holds the mark of a real estate professional that has made the commitment to provide the highest level of professional services, by securing a strong education foundation.
Sherry had adapted through the years to bring both herself and her clients through the new "Information Age", where people can become overwhelmed with major purchases, whether it be a new computer, a new car, or the largest and most important purchase any family can make- a new home. To help combat the deluge of data that is available on the internet, Sherry has authored a number of books to help simplify different aspects of Real Estate, including the "First Time Homebuyer Book", "How to Sell Homes Fast for Top Dollar", "Home Improvements That Improve Values", "Secrets for Selling Homes Others Failed to Sell", and "Sell Your Inherited House Fast".
